GAME NOTES

High scorers
The Tigers lead the SWAC in scoring, averaging 78.7 points per game. Their average goes up to 81.3 points per game in conference play. The Tigers also give up the most points to SWAC opponents, giving up an average of 74.5 points per conference game.

Double-double Ewing Ewing

Control the boards
Winning the rebound battle can often make the difference between winning and losing. In TSU’s 14 wins this season, the Tigers have outrebounded their opponents by more than six rebounds per contest (40.7 to 34.3). In the games they have lost, the Tigers have been outrebounded by more than eight rebounds per game (46.0 to 37.5).

Patterson returning to form
Graduate transfer Jalyn Patterson missed two of the first three games of TSU’s current winning streak and been out of the starting lineup since then. However, he had a breakthrough game Monday at Jackson State, scoring 17 points and going 4-for-5 from 3-point range. It was Patterson’s first game scoring in double-digits since Jan. 26.
