Tigers Fill Up The Stat Sheet In Win Over Concordia

TSU’s second straight weekend of home cooking was well worth it as Yahuza Rasas led the Tigers with a double-double in an 85-47 win over Concordia Saturday afternoon.

The game was evenly played early on as it was tied 9-9 with 14:50 left. TSU would turn the heat up over the next seven minutes as they went on a 22-0 run to lead 31-9 and never looked back as they went into the half ahead 42-16. In the first half, Rasas was a one-man wrecking crew himself as he had a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds.

TSU kept its foot on the gas in the second quarter as they shot over 50 percent from the field and led by as much as 40. Every Tiger who played on Saturday would score as Rasas led the way with 17 followed by 16 from Chris Baldwin and 10 from Bryson Etienne. Jethro Tshisumpa led the Tigers with three blocks while freshman Ja’Mare Redus added five assist and three steals.

The Tigers will have time off for finals as their next game is slated for Dec. 18 at Nevada.
