Tigers Fight Through 2nd Round Of NCAA Regional

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas Southern Men’s golf rallied through tricky conditions during the second round of the NCAA DI Men’s Golf Bryan Regional hosted by Texas A&M University.  

Freshman Kci Lindskog was even though four then made an incredible hole-out from 115 yards for a birdie on the fifth. He pushed through the rest of the round to finish 2-over for the day giving him a two-day 5-over par total of 149 (75-74).  Junior Devansh Chadha has a two-day total of 157 (78-79).  

 “The vision for our program is getting clearer as we journey through this Regional,” Texas Southern University head golf coach, Dr. Gary Grandison said.   

The final round of the NCAA DI Men’s Golf Bryan Regional will commence Wednesday morning with a 9:20 a.m. start at The Traditions Club Golf Course.  

 The NCAA Bryan Regional site is hosted by Texas A&M University. The top five seeds at the NCAA College Station Regional are Pepperdine, Texas A&M, Georgia, Tennessee, and Kansas. The rest of the field consists of Arizona, Michigan State, SMU, Boise State, Oregon State, Colorado State, Southeastern Louisiana, Texas Southern, and individual qualifiers.  

 Thirty teams and six individuals not on those qualifying teams will then advance to the National Finals. Play will begin at the six regional sites on May 15. The 2022 championship will be played at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, from May 27 to June 1.
