Set two would see TSU go neck-and-neck with the Cowgirls as they pulled away for a 17-13 lead following Jada Hall’s block. However, McNeese State closed the gap with three service aces and a TSU attack error to tie the contest but TSU moved ahead once again after Nia Stone’s kill for an 18-17 advantage. Both teams would trade leads after the TSU score but McNeese State would pull away with a 6-0 run en route to a 25-19 win. The final set belonged to the Cowgirls from start-to-finish as they closed out the match with a 25-11 decision.
