Texas Southern University Announces Partnership With Spry

TigerFans has announced a new partnership with Spry to provide TSU student-athletes and administrators with a best-in-class NIL solution. With Spry, TSU student-athletes will have the ability to access best practices, courses, and educational resources to maximize their NIL potential. Spry will streamline NIL processes and workflows for the Texas Southern Athletic Department and TSU student-athletes. In addition to a robust education offering, Spry will allow the athletic department to easily communicate with student-athletes directly through the platform.

Throughout the first year of NIL, TSU student-athletes experienced tremendous success with NIL. Our partnership with Spry will allow TSU student-athletes to access additional tools and resources to increase their ability to be successful in the NIL space.

“Partnering with Spry allows us to stay abreast of changes within the NIL landscape so we can properly educate our administrators, coaches and student-athletes,” said TSU Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Kevin Granger. “NIL rules and regulations are constantly evolving and we want our student-athletes to maximize every opportunity available. I feel that Spry is the prefect company to assist us in this endeavor.”

Spry makes it possible for student-athletes to disclose business opportunities to their institution in a quick, transparent way to remain compliant with NIL regulations. Also, the platform enables compliance departments to seamlessly manage disclosures and communicate directly with its student-athletes.

Nestled upon a sprawling 150-acre campus in Houston, Texas, Texas Southern University is one of the nation’s largest historically black universities. Texas Southern University is heralded as a pioneer and has distinguished itself by producing a significant number of African American students who have obtained post-secondary and advanced degrees. The university’s enrollment has grown from 2,303 students to more than 7,500 undergraduate and graduate students from across the world.

Although initially established to educate African Americans, Texas Southern University has become one of the most diverse institutions in Texas. TigerFans sponsors 16 intercollegiate men’s and women’s sports in NCAA Division I and is a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference.

“Spry is thrilled to partner with Texas Southern University,” says Lyle Adams, Founder and CEO of Spry. “The TSU athletic department is investing in their NIL program and believes in Spry’s vision that NIL is for everyone. We are proud to welcome our first HBCU program to the Spry family!”
