Texas Southern Announces Athletic Schedule Changes

A plethora of Texas Southern athletic events have been postponed due to inclement weather in the region.

The Texas Southern home basketball contest against Prairie View A&M scheduled for Thursday night has been postponed. In addition to basketball, the 2021 SWAC Indoor Track & Field Championships has been pushed back to Feb. 24-25 in Birmingham, Ala. along with this weekend’s softball road series at Incarnate Word in San Antonio. The bowling team’s trip for the Mid-Winter Invitational in Jonesboro, Ark. has also been postponed.

As of now, both basketball teams are scheduled to host Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Mississippi Valley State this weekend while the baseball team opens its season at the University of Houston for a three-game series on Friday. Soccer is scheduled to face Rice University on Sunday at Rice followed by the volleyball team’s trip to Mississippi Valley State and Jackson State starting on Sunday.

An announcement will be made regarding future schedule changes.
