SWAC Cross Country Championship Kicks Off Monday Morning

CLINTON, Miss. – The TSU men’s and women’s cross country teams open postseason play Monday morning at the SWAC Championships held at the Choctaw Running Trails. 

The men will open the championship with an 8K run at 7:45 a.m. followed by the women’s 5K at 8:30 a.m. Both teams are peaking at the right time as the men last won their heat at the Chili Pepper Cross Country Festival in Arkansas on Oct. 5 while the women placed second at the Prairie View A&M Invitational two weeks ago.

The men are seeking its sixth title in school history with the last title won in 1993. The women are looking for its first title in school history.
