Soccer To Face Grambling State Sunday Afternoon

The Texas Southern soccer team looks to obtain another win on the road as they head to Grambling State University Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.

The Lady Tigers began SWAC play Friday with a 2-0 victory against the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Mia Ontiveros and Crisely Pavon scored first half goals while Oriana Palacios had a strong night defensively at goalie.

History says today’s game will be tightly contested as the series is tied 4-4 over the past eight matches. However, GSU has won three of the past four as TSU’s last win was in 2016. The past two contests went down to the wire as GSU claimed a 2-1 win in Houston last year and a 1-0 win in Grambling in 2018.
