Soccer Hosts Alabama A&M, Alabama State In Weekend Homestand

The Texas Southern soccer team continues their home leg of the season as they take on Alabama A&M and Alabama State on Friday night and Sunday afternoon inside Alexander Durley Stadium.

The Lady Tigers suffered a 2-1 defeat against Jackson State on March 19 in their home opener at the Houston Sports Park. Junior Kayla Martinez delivered her first career goal in the 57th minute to place TSU in an early lead before JSU scored consecutive goals in the 74th and 78th-minute mark, respectively.

TSU will host Alabama A&M on 7 p.m. on Friday while the final conference game for the weekend will be on Sunday at 1 p.m. as they take on Alabama State. Both games will offer free admission as groups are encouraged to sit together due to COVID-19 protocols.
