The Texas Southern University soccer team is back action with its final regular season game of the 2019 season as they take on in-state rival Prairie View A&M Friday night at the PVAMU Soccer Complex.
TSU (5-3-1 SWAC) is coming off a split in its contests against Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Grambling State last weekend. Friday’s game is crucial game for the Tigers in terms of standings as postseason seeding is on the line. TSU currently sits in fifth-place and is a game-and-a-half out of third place. However, Grambling State is a half-game behind TSU and owns the tiebreaker.
In addition to seeding, local bragging rights will be on the line as TSU is 5-2-2 against Prairie View A&M since 2011. This year’s PVAMU soccer team has wrapped up the No. 2 seed in the SWAC Tournament and enters the contest with a 9-7 overall mark and an 8-1 SWAC record.
