The Texas Southern women’s soccer team is back in action on Sunday at Alcorn State after splitting its past two games in SWAC play. The match starts at 1 p.m.

Friday’s contest at Mississippi Valley State was canceled and will not be made up.

TSU has won the past nine contests versus Alcorn State, including a 5-0 victory in Houston last season.

Goalie Orianna Palacios leads the team’s defense with a total of 27 saves while teammates, Crisley Pavon leads with six shots followed by three shots each from Mia Ontiveros and Kayla Martinez.

Sunday’s match caps off a long road stretch as TSU will start a five-game homestand starting next Friday.
