Rasas Named SWAC Co-Men’s Basketball Player Of The Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- Texas Southern’s Yahuza Rasas have been named SWAC Men’s Basketball Co-Player of the Week after helping TSU to a 2-0 homestand this past weekend.

Rasas averaged 18.5 points, 13.5 rebounds and one block as TSU defeated Grambling State and Jackson State. The sophomore forward from St. Louis, Mo. totaled 14 offensive rebounds as he recorded two straight double-doubles. He scored 20 points with 16 rebounds and two blocks versus Jackson State and grabbed 11 boards while scoring 17 points against Grambling State.

Rasas has nine double-doubles this season and has won the award for the second time this season.
