TSU jumper Kenneth Pree narrowly missed out on securing his second national championship berth after competing in the first round of the 2023 NCAA Division I Track & Field Championship West Regional on Wednesday.

This marked the third consecutive regional appearance for Pree. The senior, who participated in the 2021 NCAA Championship, had a personal best jump of 7.83 meters (25-8.25 feet) this season which solidified his second SWAC long jump title several weeks ago.
