Ponce Named SWAC Co-Hitter of the Week

Texas Southern’s Oscar Ponce was named the SWAC’s Co-Hitter of the Week for his performance last weekend against Southern.

Ponce batted .429 with six hits, six RBI, 10 total bases, a double and home run in Texas Southern’s series win against Southern. In the finale on Saturday, Ponce drove in the winning run in the seventh as he recorded three RBI and two runs along with a homerun.

Ponce and TSU are back in action Friday at Prairie View A&M for the start of a three-game series.
