Men’s Golf Opens Season With 5th Place Outing At HBCU Invitational

NEWNAN, Ga. – Texas Southern opened the season with a fifth-place finish at the Black College Hall of Fame Golf Invitational in Newnan, Ga.

The Tigers shot 44-over par 620 after both rounds of the tournament. TSU finished day one in fifth place with a 304 before closing out the second and final round with a 316.

Devansh Chadha and Chris Williams were the top performers for TSU as both shot 9-over with a two-day total of 153. Landon Johnstone (+11), Tanner Skiles (+12), Grant Everson (+16) and Lucas Elliot (+16) rounded out the Tigers.

TSU is back in action Oct. 18-21 at the Gulf Shores Collegiate Invitational.
