Men’s Golf Heads West For Big Texan Tournament Sunday

KERRVILLE, Texas – The Texas Southern men’s golf team will enter its second consecutive week of competition as they return to the links to compete in The Big Texan hosted by The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

The Tigers placed third earlier this week at the Gulf Shores Invitational hosted by the Black College Golf Coaches Association in Gulf Shores, Ala.

Sophomore Joel Sullivan was the top scorer for the Tigers after moving up four spots on the leaderboard to tie for ninth place overall with his 236 (80-80-76) finish.

The Big Texan will take place at Riverhill Country Club with the practice round on Sunday, 36 holes on Monday, and the final round on Tuesday.
