Men’s Golf Competes In 1st Day Of Tourney Action

SPRING, Texas – The Texas Southern men’s golf team returned to tournament play after a three-week hiatus in the Colin Montgomerie Collegiate Invite on Monday hosted by Houston Baptist.

Redshirt Freshman Devansh Chadha leads the Tigers after day one of the tournament where he posted a 156 36-hole score.

“We had a special meeting after the round,” Texas Southern head coach Dr. Gary Grandison said. “We seem to understand our circumstance and I am hopeful that we demonstrate necessary adjustments in the final round.”

Texas Southern University concludes play on Tuesday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start at the Augusta Pines Golf Course.
