Grayson Tabbed SWAC Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week

Texas Southern junior Valencia Grayson was named the SWAC Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts at the SWAC Round-up this past weekend.
 
The Houston native and Booker T. Washington High School graduate led the Tigers with 87 digs and 20 assists this past weekend in five games played. She opened the round-up with a 19-dig, seven-assist performance in a comeback win versus Alabama State while closing out the first day with a career-best 21 digs versus Jackson State. Grayson had 15 digs each versus Mississippi Valley State and Alcorn State before concluding out the round-up with 17 digs against Alabama A&M.
