Gray named SWAC’s Women’s Track Athlete of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Texas Southern University senior Alexis Gray was one of four student-athletes to be named one of the Southwestern Athletic Conference’s players of the week in the sport of track and field.
 
Gray was named the Women’s Track Athlete of the Week after winning two races at Texas A&M’s Ted Nelson Invitational this past weekend. She clocked in at 7.49 seconds in the 60-meter race and finished in 24.12 seconds in the 200-meter dash.
 
Gray also helped the Lady Tigers set the top mark among all conference athletes in the women’s 4×400-meter relay, as TSU finished third with a time of 3:54.44.
