Golf Teams Back In Action This Week In Houston

The Texas Southern University men’s and women’s golf teams return to the links this weekend as they compete in the Panther Relays Spring Collegiate Invitational hosted by Prairie View A&M.

The men’s team competed in the Colin Montgomerie Collegiate Invite earlier this week where redshirt sophomore, Devansh Chadha, was the top finisher for the Tigers after the three-round event. Freshman, Lyla Vaughn, was the top scorer for the Lady Tigers when they played in the UTRGV Invitational in McAllen, Texas this past Tuesday.

“I am thankful that both teams have an opportunity to compete during this pandemic,” head golf coach, Dr. Gary Grandison said. “I saw some progressions during the last practices, so I am hopeful that we play tiger golf during this tournament.”

The Tigers will tee up for Panther Relays Spring Collegiate Invitational March 14-16 in Houston, Texas with their practice round on Sunday, opening 36-hole rounds Monday, and concludes the tournament with the final round on Tuesday.
