Freeman, Pree Win SWAC Titles As Men’s Track & Field Enters Final Day Atop Leaderboard

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – Kenneth Pree and Hezekiah Freeman walked away with SWAC Titles in the long jump and shot put, respectively as the TSU men’s track team sits atop the standings entering the final day of competition at the SWAC Championships.
 
Distance runner Albert Norman finished fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase to start the day off with points. Kenneth Pree made a splash with a personal best jump of 7.83 meters (25-8.25 feet) to claim his second SWAC long jump title in addition to moving up the national charts. Donyae Castaneda placed seventh in the event to earn points after a jump of 24-1.50 feet.
 
Hezekiah Freeman won his first SWAC Outdoor Title as he threw a personal best mark of 54-3.25 feet in the shot put on his third attempt.
 
Day three begins at 11 a.m. with finals in all events.
