Football To Hold Pair Of Camps July 23-24 For Skill Athletes, Lineman

Texas Southern University head football coach Clarence McKinney and staff will hit the gridiron July 23-24 with a pair of summer camps for high school skill athletes and lineman inside the Durley Field Complex on the TSU campus.

Student-athletes entering grades 9th – 12th as of fall 2021 are eligible to participate.

On Friday, July 23, the football program will hold a lineman camp from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. with check-in scheduled from 8 a.m. – 9 a.m. Later that afternoon, a skills camp will be held at 4:30 p.m. with check-in scheduled from 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

On Saturday, July 24, another session will be held for lineman once again from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. with check-in scheduled from 8 a.m. – 9 a.m. A skills camp will follow at 4:30 p.m. with check-in scheduled from 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

The cost for each camp is $40 per person as attendees at both camps will have an opportunity to be evaluated by TSU staff.
 
Participants will need a negative COVID-19 test from the week of July 19-23 and must have a copy of a Sports Physical or Pre-Activity Clearance Examination form completed and signed by a doctor to participate in the camp. Campers physicals must have taken place within the past 12 months.
 
On the day of camp, participants will also need to bring workout clothing, football cleats and running shoes.
