Bowling Opens SWAC West Roundup With 3 Wins

DALLAS – TSU opened the first full day of the SWAC West Bowling Roundup with a 3-2 record at USA Bowl on Saturday.

The Tigers opened the day with a 919-839 loss to tourney leader Alabama State but rebounded and had a strong performance with a win (913-708) over Southern. TSU kept up its winning ways with a 928-900 win over Prairie View A&M but fell 870-807 to Jackson State in game four. The Tigers bounced back with a 744-584 win over Grambling State to close out the day.

Freshman Evan Smith leads TSU at this point with a 183 average and sits sixth overall while fellow freshman Cassie De La Fuente ranks second and 11th overall with an average of 178.6.

TSU closes out roundup play on Sunday.
