Bojorquez Named SWAC Impact Player Of The Week

Texas Southern’s Jenay Bojorquez was named the SWAC Women’s Basketball Impact Player of the Week for her performance over in TSU’s back-to-back wins on Tuesday and Thursday.

The junior from Phoenix, Ariz. played a big role in the team’s wins over Mississippi Valley State and Arkansas-Pine Bluff. She averaged 17.5 points per game to go along with 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game.  She scored a season-high 19 points against Mississippi Valley State and closed out the homestand with 16 points, nine rebounds and six assists against UAPB.

The TSU women’s team is back in action Saturday afternoon at Alabama State for a 2 p.m. tip-off.
