• Alabama A&M Head Coach Nedra Brown gained her 100th win in non-conference play against Albany State on 10/22. Albany State currently stands at 2-18.
•Southern University’s Phalen Clark led an all time season record posting a triple-double against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Monday, October 14. In the match Clark posted 16 kills, 23 assists while recording 12 digs. She leads SU with 336 assists averaging 4.87 per set and 153 kills averaging 2.22.
•SWAC-TV Digital Network broadcasted western division rivals, Texas Southern and Prairie View in Prairie View Texas. TSU picked up a 3-0 win against PVAMU. Eastern divison schools Jackson State will take on Alabama A&M in Jackson, Miss. on Wednesday, October 30, this game will also be featured on the next Digital Network program.
•Alcorn State’s Sydney Mellom and Vanessa Ortega recorded career-highs against defending SWAC-Champions, Jackson State on Wed. Oct. 2, Mellom recorded 20 assists while Ortega posted 18 digs.
