HOUSTON, Texas. – Texas Southern University kept rolling, moving its win streak to 13 matches with a 3-0 win over Prairie View A&M on Wednesday at the H&PE Arena.
In Southwestern Athletic Conference western division play, TSU (13-10) racked up 32 digs picking up the sets with scores of 25-22, 25-21 and 25-11.
Veronica Azubuike finished the match with 11 kills and eight digs. Jyra Churchill had 20 assists with Erin Spivey gathering five digs for the Lady Tigers. Audriana Carson registered nine digs and Kali Fluke tallied seven.
PVAMU (9-25, 4-4) was led on the offensive end by Candyce Alexander 12 kills. Kelsey Espinosa dished out 13 assists and collected seven digs. LaKeisha Allen posted 10 digs to lead the Lady Panthers.

LORMAN, Miss. – In Southwestern Athletic Conference non-divisional play Southern University captured a 3-0 victory over Alcorn State on Wednesday in E.E. Simmons Gymnasium.
SU (9-17) swept the match with set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 25-11.
Simone Beasley had nine kills to lead the Lady Jaguars. Phalen Clark posted 17 assists while tacking on nine digs. Leila Lealaimatafao echoed eight kills while Diamond Williams posted 14 digs to lead SU's defensive efforts.
For ALC (2-24), Sydney Mellom registered five kills, 12 assists and five digs. Georgia Parsons also posted five digs while Vanessa Ortega recorded 11 digs and three assists for the Lady Braves.
