According to multiple sources, Vanderbilt will hire Dartmouth wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton for the same position.

Hankton comes to Vanderbilt from a Big Green program that has been on the rise in the Ivy League. The program went 8-2 in 2014 after finished 6-4 each of the two previous seasons while Hankton was on staff. Hankton has also quickly emerged as a top recruiter. This year he helped attract Top100 offensive tackle and Notre Dame commit Jerry Tillery to Dartmouth for an official visit to Hanover. His recruiting territories have included Arkansas, Hawaii, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.

A six year NFL veteran, Hankton played for the Jacksonville Jaguars for four seasons after a standout career at Texas Southern. He also spent time with the Vikings and Buccaneers.

Take two of Vanderbilt coach Derek Mason's staff is complete with the hiring of wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton.

A former six-year NFL wideout, Hankton spent the past three years coaching wide receivers at Dartmouth. His hiring was officially announced in a Vanderbilt media release Monday.

Hankton replaces Marc Lubick, who was among four assistant coaches fired from Mason's first-year staff in December. Offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Andy Ludwig (Wisconsin), cornerbacks coach Todd Lyght (Philadelphia Eagles) and strength coach James Dobson (Nebraska) are the other additions for Mason's second season.
