PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas -- The Tigers of Texas Southern University will put their undefeated conference record on the line Saturday when they visit Prairie View A&M. Tipoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. (or approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the women's game between the two teams).
The Tigers (7-8, 2-0 SWAC) are riding a three-game winning streak. Prairie View A&M (4-11) also enters the game with a record of 2-0 in conference play.

High-flying Tigers
Texas Southern leads the SWAC in scoring with an average of 77.1 points per game, nearly eight points ahead of the next-highest scoring team, Prairie View A&M. The Panthers average 69.3 points per contest.

Combs over 60 percent
In his last five games against Division I opponents, Jeremy Combes has averaged 13.6 points and 7.0 rebounds per contest. He has shot 60 percent (30 of 50) from the field during that span.

Drive (to the basket) friendly – the Texas way
The Tigers are 4-1 in the state of Texas this year, with wins at Baylor and Texas A&M among their highlights. In his three games in Texas, Jalyn Patterson has averaged 21.3 points per game. Trayvon Reed has averaged 17.8 points and 9.4 rebounds per Texas contest, and shot 74.5 percent (38 of 51) from the floor.

Butler heating up
In his last five games against Division I opponents, Devocio Butler has averaged 10.0 points per game. This includes a 17-point outburst in the memorable win at Texas A&M, and a 15-point showing in TSU's win at Alcorn State to open SWAC play. Butler has shot 60 percent from the field in his last three games.

Reed atop the leaderboards
Trayvon Reed continues to lead the SWAC in field-goal percentage (80 of 124, 64.5 percent) and blocked shots (1.7 blocks per game). His field goal percentage also ranks 18th in the nation. Reed also ranks second in the conference with 8.5 rebounds per game.

TSU vs. Prairie View A&M
The Tigers have won seven of their last 10 games against Prairie View A&M dating back to the 2014-15 season. TSU won two out of three meetings last year – both in Houston. TSU is looking for its first win in Prairie View since Jan. 7, 2017, when the Tigers won 87-82.
