GRAMBLING, La. – The Tigers of Texas Southern University will put their four-game winning streak on the line Saturday when they visit Grambling State to start a two-game road trip. Tipoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. (or approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the women's game between the two schools).
The Tigers are coming off a 95-90 victory over in-state rival Prairie View A&M last Saturday. TSU trailed by as many as 21 points in the second half before coming back to claim victory.

Despite having only three double-doubles in TSU's 10 conference games, Jeremy Combs is averaging a double-double in conference play, posting 18.7 points and a SWAC-leading 10.1 rebounds per SWAC game. Combs' 18.7 points per conference game ranks second only to Martaveous McKnight of Arkansas–Pine Bluff (20.7 ppg).
High scorers
The Tigers lead the SWAC in scoring, averaging 78.4 points per game. Their average goes up to 81.2 points per game in conference play. The Tigers also give up the most points to SWAC opponents, giving up an average of 74.4 points per conference game.
Four starts, four wins for Armstrong
Junior guard Tyrik Armstrong (pictured) has been in the starting lineup for each win in TSU's four-game winning streak. Armstrong has made the most of his time on the court, averaging 13.3 points and 4.5 assists per game. He scored 13 points and handed out nine assists against Alabama A&M, and had a season-high 19 points against Prairie View A&M.
On the road in the SWAC
TSU is the top rebounding team overall in the SWAC, but gets outrebounded by an average of 1.6 boards per game (39.2 to 37.6) in conference road games. The Tigers are 3-2 in conference road games, and Jeremy Combs averages nearly a double-double in such games, averaging 20.4 points and 9.8 rebounds per contest.
