WACO, Texas- The Texas Southern Tigers basketball team closed out non-conference regular season play on Wednesday with an 89-63 loss to the Baylor Bears.
TSU was led in scoring by Kevin Scott who registered 15 points on a 7-of-8 shooting night from the floor.
The Tigers trailed 40-26 going into the break after shooting 32 percent from the field in the first half of play.
Baylor extended its lead over the Tigers in the second half as they shot the ball extremely well (69 percent) in the final half of the contest. BU's Johnathan Motley led all scorers with 17 points in 32 minutes of action.
Texas Southern will not return to the court until conference play opens up on January 2nd at Alcorn State.
