NACOGDOCHES, Texas – The TSU softball team dropped a pair of midweek contests at SFA on Wednesday.

SFA 4, TSU 1
SFA scored three times in the first and rode the momentum from that point en route to a 4-1 win in the opener.

With two outs in the first, SFA scored three runs for an early 3-0 lead. From that point, it was a pitching duel as neither team would score until the fifth as SFA once again added another two-out RBI to lead 4-0. TSU added a run in the seventh with two outs on Lanay Carr’s RBI single as Jordan McClain scored but that would be the lone run as SFA claimed a 4-1 margin.

Carr had TSU’s lone hit while Kaelani Randle was tagged with the loss.

SFA 11, TSU 0

An eight-run second inning was the difference as SFA claimed the nightcap following an 11-0 win.

SFA scored once with two outs in the first for a 1-0 lead before breaking the game open with an eight-run second inning. They would add two more in the third and another in the fourth for the final margin as Karisma Garcia had TSU’s lone hit. Kristen Driver fell to 1-1 on the year as she pitched 1.1 innings.
