A four goal second-half proved to be too much for Mississippi Valley as the Texas Southern soccer team shut-out the Delta Devils 5-0 on Senior Day on Sunday evening inside Alexander Durley Stadium.

Prior to the start of the match, lone senior Victoria Pucci was honored in a pre-match ceremony.
Pucci: Senior Forward Pucci joined the soccer program in 2022 as a junior from Northern Arizona. During her tenure at Texas Southern, she played in 23 games with over 1500 minutes of playing time. She helped the team earn a spot in the semifinals in the 2022 SWAC Tournament while being named to the All-SWAC Second Team in recognition of her skills throughout the season. This season, she was named to the 2023 Preseason All-SWAC Second Team.
How it Happen
The Tigers got on the scoreboard early in the 11th minute as Isabella Dillow put one in the back of the net assisted by Kennedy Tristan.
Dilllow would turn around and assist Ibukun Lawson in the 46th minute as she netted her first goal of the season.
Back again in the 53rd minute was Lawson as she scored unassisted.
Pucci scored her first TSU career goal in the 86th minute as she received a herd of Tigers hugging her in what would be her last time playing in Durley Stadium.
After a MVSU foul in the 88th minute, Dillow took advantage of a penalty kick to make it her second goal of the game and her third of the season.

•MVSU had 14 shots with six being on goal
•TSU Goalkeepers Jaidyn Christophe and Alessandra Bastidas split time in the back of the net while tallying three saves each
•The Delta Devils Goalkeeper Sydney Whitten played a full match while registering eight saves
