TSUSports.com: Men’s Golf Gears Up For Historic NCAA DI Golf Regional

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas Southern men’s golf team travel to Texas A&M as they gear up to represent at the NCAA DI College Station Regional after winning the 2022 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Golf Championship.

The team recently competed in the 2022 PGA Works Collegiate Championship. Freshman William O’Connor finished T11 with his 223 (70-79-74) total.

“It is an honor to make it in this ‘big dance’,” Texas Southern University head golf coach, Dr. Gary Grandison said.

The Tigers tee up at the 2022 NCAA DI Men’s Golf Regional held in College Station from May 15-18 at the Traditions Club Golf Course. This Regional site is hosted by Texas A&M. The top five seeds at the NCAA College Station Regional are Pepperdine, Texas A&M, Georgia, Tennessee, and Kansas. The rest of the field consists of Arizona, Michigan State, SMU, Boise State, Oregon State, Colorado State, Southeastern Louisiana, Texas Southern, and individual qualifiers.

Thirty teams and six individuals not on those qualifying teams will then advance to the National Finals. Play will begin at the six regional sites on May 15. The 2022 championship will be played at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz. from May 27 to June 1.
