Game Notes:

Lady Tigers vs. Alcorn State
The Lady Tigers have won 11 of their last 12 games against Alcorn State dating back to the 2012-13 season. Last season's 54-52 loss to Alcorn State toward the end of the season snapped TSU's 11-game winning streak over the Lady Braves.

Turner heating up
Marquia Turner has averaged 18.0 points per game and shot 46.2 percent (24 of 52) from the field in her last four contests against Division I opponents. The graduate transfer from Xavier scored a season-high 26 points in TSU's win at Texas–Rio Grande Valley (Dec. 8).

Put the ball in the basket
The Lady Tigers rank second in the SWAC in field-goal percentage, having made 41 percent (251 of 614) of their field-goal attempts. TSU is one of only two teams (along with Jackson State) shooting better than 40 percent from the floor.

Dynamic duo
Marquia Turner (14.0 points per game) and Niya Mitchell (13.0 points per game) rank third and fourth, respectively, among the SWAC's scoring leaders. Mitchell leads the SWAC in field-goal percentage (60 of 100, 60 percent), which also ranks 16th in the nation.

Turner for 3!
Marquia Turner ranks fourth in the nation in 3-point percentage, having made 50 percent (34 of 68) of her long-range attempts. The only three players ahead of her all play in Power 5 conferences.

Lady Tigers hitting from long range
Texas Southern leads the SWAC in 3-point shooting, as the Lady Tigers have drained 35.1 percent (67 of 191) of their long-range shots. Their 3-point percentage also ranks 62nd nationally.

Cunningham returns to form
Olivia Cunningham has scored in double-figures in each of her last three games, averaging 13.3 points per contest during that span. A graduate transfer from Toledo University, Cunningham has shot 58.6 percent (17 of 29) from the floor over the last three games.
