TSUSports.com: Ground game helps lead KSU to 48-3 win over TSU

KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State ran for 346 yards and five touchdowns on the ground as the Owls went on to defeat the Texas Southern Tigers in what was the final non-conference game for TSU this season.

KSU took control of the contest with a 24-point second quarter on their way to a 34-3 halftime lead.

Defensively Texas Southern was led in tackles by Sean Jones who tallied 10 total stops during the game. Julian Marcantel racked up nine tackles highlighted by eight solo stops.

Offensively the Tigers were hampered by three turnovers while tallying 171 yards of total offense.

Texas Southern will now look ahead to hosting the Alabama State Hornets for Homecoming on Saturday, Oct 14 at 2:00 pm at BBVA Compass Stadium.
