The Texas Southern University baseball team announced its 2024 schedule Friday morning.
The Tigers will open the 2024 season at the 2nd annual Cactus Jack HBCU Classic at Minute Maid Park in Houston from Feb. 16-18 as they’ll face Jackson State, Prairie View A&M and Southern. The team will hit the road for two weeks before returning to MacGregor Park for its 2024 home opener against Wiley University on Wednesday, Feb. 28.
The Tigers will have a road-heavy March as they won’t return home until Thursday, March 28 as they’ll face Grambling State for a three-game series at MacGregor Park. After a quick midweek trip to Tulane on April 2, the Tigers will open the second half of SWAC play at home against Southern for a three-game series starting Friday, April 5. Huston-Tillotson makes its annual appearance at MacGregor Park on Tuesday, April 9 followed by a home series against Alcorn State on Friday, April 19.
TSU closes out the month of April on the road with trips to Lamar and Grambling State before opening the month of May with a home series against Prairie View A&M on Friday, May 3. TSU heads to Alcorn State for its final road series of the year on Friday, April 10 and will close out the 2024 regular season with four games in Houston as they’ll face Rice on Tuesday, April 14 followed by UAPB in its regular season series finale on Friday, April 17 at MacGregor Park.
The 2024 SWAC Tournament is back in Atlanta, Ga. at Georgia Tech May 22-26.
