CANTON, Ohio — He had 15 remarkable NFL seasons. He is the NFL’s single-season sack king and one of the two most prolific pass rushers in Giants history. Most people consider him to be, perhaps, the greatest complete defensive end in NFL history, just as good stopping the run as he was in rushing the passer.
Yet as Michael Strahan stepped onto the stage at Fawcett Stadium on Saturday night to unveil the bust of his head that will forever be on display in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, there was at least a part of him that couldn’t believe it was actually happening.
