College Sports Madness awarded Jazzmin Parker of Texas Southern as their SWAC Player of the week on January 19.
College Sports Madness - Women's Basketball Players of the Week - Week 11
Parker earned her second CSM Player of the Week selection during week 11 of the SWAC women's basketball regular season. She scored a team high 24 points to lead the Lady Tigers to a 65-55 victory over Mississippi Valley State on Saturday.
Parker went on to lead TSU with 19 points, shooting 9-of-18 from the field during Monday's match against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (75-51). She averaged 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists on the week.
Prairie View A&M's Jeanette Jackson was selected by College Sports Madness as their SWAC Player of the Week on January 26.
College Sports Madness - Women's Basketball Players of the Week - Week 12
Jackson led PVAMU to its second conference victory Saturday, scoring 21 points with five assists and two steals in the 75-62 win over UAPB. With Monday's 77-59 triumph over Mississippi Valley State, she tallied 14.5 points, six assists, four reboounds and three steals on the week.
Jackson currently leads the Lady Panthers in minutes played (37.2), points (19.1), assists (3.9) and steals (2.5).
