BLOOMINGTON — The Bloomington Edge indoor football team announced the signing of a pair of newcomers Wednesday in wide receiver Aaron Higdon and defensive back Curtis Thomas.
The 6-foot, 215-pound Thomas split time between the Green Bay Blizzard and Sioux Falls Storm during the 2012 Indoor Football League season. He played three college seasons at Texas Southern, totaling 10 interceptions and making the All-SWAC first team as a junior in 2010.
“I truly believe that I can be a major asset to the team both at safety and on special teams," Thomas said in a news release. "Bloomington is an organization that is no stranger to indoor football and has been around quite some time and that makes it even better to be a part of.
“My goal is to help us make it to the championship and help the secondary become one of the best in all of indoor football, which I believe we can do.”
