Baseball Opens SWAC Tournament Against Jackson State Next Wednesday

Texas Southern baseball will open the 2021 SWAC Tournament against Jackson State on Wednesday, May 19 at 3 p.m. at Toyota Field in Madison, Ala.

TSU (10-14 SWAC) enters the SWAC Tournament as the No. 4 seed and will take on top-seeded Jackson State (24-0) from the SWAC East. History says Wednesday’s game will be hard-fought as even though TSU owns a six-game winning streak over JSU, the average margin of victory for TSU has been 3.3 runs.

Both teams have met in the past three SWAC Tournaments in New Orleans as this marks the first time since 2017 the teams will meet at a site other than New Orleans.
