Baseball Falls In Midweek Affair At TCU

Box Score

Texas Southern dropped a midweek series at No. 20 TCU Tuesday night in Fort Worth.

After a scoreless first by both teams, TCU plated five runs in the second for an early lead. TSU was on the verge of getting out the third inning without any damage but a two-out single by TCU led to another run. After a pitching change due to a walk, TCU crossed home another run due to a bases loaded walk. TSU fell victim to another two-out rally by TCU in the fourth as it led to four runs before a grand slam in the fifth put the game out the reach.

Tyson Thompson, Oscar Ponce and Nic Garza each had hits for TSU while Brian Williams was tagged with the loss on the mound.

TSU is back in action this weekend at Incarnate Word for a three-game series starting on Friday in San Antonio.
